DCS.The entire spectrum of standard signals can be acquired
directly by the
TELEPERM® XS input/output modules (see section “Hardware and
software” for an overview).The modules are based on
microcontrollers whose firmware is executed on a strictly cyclic
basis. The firmware performs the actual input/output functions and
also tests the input/output channels and the connection to the
processing module. This extremely high level of self-testing
extends the cycle of additional periodic tests to several years.
